Earnest Walker Jr. is a dynamic smooth jazz and urban jazz saxophonist known for his energetic live performances and multicultural sound. Having traveled extensively during his childhood, Walker developed a broad musical appreciation, which later informed his unique fusion of smooth jazz with mesmerizing African rhythms and elements of funk. After studying at Bethune-Cookman and Florida State University, he became a sought-after performer across the country and a member of the band Blind Date in Philadelphia. An impassioned showman, Walker is celebrated for his crowd-engaging stage presence that combines his great sound with brilliant physicality. His work includes the album IFATOBA("the king has arrived"), which celebrates his family bonds and African heritage.
